At ProxyPilot, we prioritize your privacy. This Privacy Policy details how we handle configurations and credentials inside the ProxyPilot browser extension (the “Extension”). We operate on a zero-tracking model where your data remains exclusively under your direct control.
1. Information Stored Locally
All proxy servers, usernames, passwords, configurations, schedule-switching rules, and fallback profiles you enter are saved locally on your computer inside the secure Extension sandbox using Chrome’s extension storage API. We do not store, look at, or transmit this information to external databases or servers.
2. Zero Traffic Logging
ProxyPilot does not inspect, collect, or store websites you visit or data you transmit. The extension configures your browser's proxy settings using native Chromium APIs. Requests are routed directly from your browser to your designated proxy hosts, bypassing our infrastructure entirely.
3. Free Community Proxy Node
If you choose to use the built-in free test proxy, your connection is routed through our shared community node. This node does not keep traffic logs. However, since it is a shared testing node, we recommend avoiding the transmission of highly sensitive credentials over it.
4. Third-Party Proxy Services
When you add custom proxy servers to the Extension, your internet traffic is routed through those specific third-party providers. The privacy guidelines and data collection policies of those providers govern the transit of your web data. We recommend reviewing the policies of your proxy network providers.
5. Extension Permissions
To enable dynamic proxy routing rules, schedule checks, and status checks, the Extension requests browser permission options for "proxy", "storage", and "alarms". These permissions are only used to manage connection routes and save your target rules on your machine.
