Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the ProxyMaster browser extension (the “Extension”), website, optional trial service, and payment flow handle information.

1. Information Stored Locally

Proxy addresses, usernames, passwords, routing rules, profiles, settings, license data, recently used tab/domain assignments, limited traffic counters, and diagnostic logs are stored in Chrome extension storage on your device. Diagnostic data can include domain names, tab identifiers, proxy identifiers, and error details. Proxy passwords are not intentionally copied into diagnostic logs.

2. Browsing and Proxy Traffic

The Extension uses Chrome’s proxy and web request APIs to apply your routing choices and provide proxy authentication. We do not receive the content of pages you visit through the Extension. Traffic routed through a custom or trial proxy is sent to that proxy provider and is governed by the provider’s policies. Domain names used in rules or tab routing may be stored locally as described above.

3. Optional Trial Service

When you request the optional trial proxy, our Cloudflare Pages Function receives your IP address, normalized browser User-Agent, and a randomly generated client identifier. These values are combined with a server secret and hashed to prevent repeated trials and assign one proxy from the pool. Trial start and expiration records are retained for up to 365 days in Cloudflare KV. The service returns the assigned proxy credentials to the Extension over HTTPS. It does not return the complete proxy pool.

4. WebRTC Privacy Control

When enabled, the Extension changes Chrome’s WebRTC IP handling policy locally to reduce non-proxied UDP exposure. This does not guarantee anonymity and does not replace a VPN.

5. Payments and Other Third Parties

Pro purchases are processed by NOWPayments. Payment identifiers, status, selected plan, amount, and currency are exchanged with NOWPayments to create and verify an order. We do not receive your private wallet keys. The installation page may use third-party IP information services to display your current public IP. Provider links in the Extension can take you to independent proxy sellers and may contain referral identifiers.

6. Extension Permissions

The Extension requests proxy and webRequest permissions for routing and proxy authentication; storage for local configuration; tabs and webNavigation for per-tab routing; sidePanel and contextMenus for its interface; privacy for the WebRTC setting; browsingData for the user-initiated site-session clearing feature; management to detect and, only after an explicit button click, disable conflicting proxy extensions; and alarms to enforce trial expiration. Broad website access is required for per-site routing and proxy authentication.

7. Data Control and Retention

You can remove local settings by deleting them in the Extension or uninstalling it. Uninstalling does not erase the hashed server-side trial record, which is retained to prevent repeated trial use. Payment records are retained by the payment provider according to its policies. You may contact us to ask privacy questions.
